What’s included:
Your WheelsAbroad total rental cost includes use of the rental car with...
- Unlimited mileage / kilometers
- Third party liability insurance
- Limited Loss/Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection
- Airport Concession Fees, Premium Location and Facility Charges
- Vehicle Maintenance/License Fees and Road Tax
- All other mandatory fees and charges
- Value Added Tax (20% in Italy)
What’s not included:
The following "options" are not included in your WheelsAbroad Total Rental cost and are payable directly to the rental agency when you rent the car.
- Drop-off fee on a One Way rental... Drop-off fees, if applicable, will be added to your Balance Due when you rent the car.
- Additional Driver charges... most rental agencies charge for additional drivers to be registered on the rental contract.
- Optional items and special requests... child seats are available, at a fee, if booked in advance.
- Excess Reduction Cover... you may choose to purchase, at the counter, additional coverage which reduces your deductible/excess in the event of any loss or damage to the rental car.
- Personal Accident and Effects Insurance... you will probably be offered this option by the rental agency. Your general travel insurance may already cover most of the elements included in this option.
- Re-fueling charges... your car will be delivered with a full tank of fuel. Refill the tank before you return the car to avoid the refuelling service fees charged by the rental agency. Alternatively, you may be invited to pre-purchase a full tank of fuel, in which case you should return the car with as little fuel as possible.
- Parking and traffic fines or tickets... you should settle parking and traffic fines or tolls immediately. Rental agencies will pass through unpaid fees, tolls and fines on your credit card, along with administration / collection fees.
- Local taxes, fees and surcharges on these items
Pricing Conditions
- Your Total Rental Cost, in Euros, is directly related to the details of your booking (Pick-up Location / Date / Time, Drop-off Location / Date / Time, Vehicle and Options).
- Your Pre-payment with booking is also in Euros. This amount is converted to Canadian Dollars(CAD), and posted to your credit card when you make your booking.
- Your Balance Due to rental agency is payable in Euros when you rent the car.
Changes during rental and no shows
You may change the details of your booking up to 2 calendar days before pick-up date which should help you avoid the following situations:
- What if I keep the car longer than I booked?... The rental agency will charge you full retail rate (time, distance and coverage/option charges) on extra days and services outside your original booking.
- What if I keep the car less time than I booked?... The rent a car company will charge you the full Balance Due to rental agency. There’s no reduction or refund for shorter rentals.
- What if I don’t pick-up the car at all?... There’s no charge by the rental agency, but you forfeit the Pre-payment you made to WheelsAbroad.
